The Stillmeadow Parent Faculty Organization (PFO) is excited about the 2017-18 school year. We have many activities and events planned for this year. Read on for useful information about upcoming events, fundraisers, and how to get involved.
Upcoming Events: Our online events calendar includes listings for the entire 2017-18 school year. Here’s what’s coming up in September:
- No School – Labor Day (September 4)
- Fall Mum Sale (September 5 – September 18). Get your home ready for Autumn while supporting our school. We start taking orders next week for hardy, nursery-quality chrysanthemum (annuals) and Montauk Daisy (perennial) plants. Prices range from $6.50 to $21.00 per plant.
- Welcome Coffee for Stillmeadow Parents (September 8). Please join us at the Parent Welcome Coffee at 8:15 am in the Stillmeadow Courtyard. This is a great opportunity to meet other Stillmeadow Parents, chat with Principal Asaro, and learn more about the PFO.
- Stop&Shop A+ School Rewards Enrollment Begins (September 11). Support Stillmeadow when you shop at Stop&Shop. You will need a Stop&Shop Rewards Card to participate. Enrollment details will be provided the week of September 11.
- Open House – All Grade Levels (September 14)
- Meadow Farms Fundraiser (September 20 through October 6). This is the first major fundraiser of the 2017-18 school year. Catalogs and order forms will be distributed the week of September 18.
- No School – Rosh Hashanah(September 21-22)
- General PFO Meeting (September 26). Please join us for the first PFO Meeting of the school year, when we will present and vote on the 2017-18 PFO operating budget.
- Early Release @ 12:30 pm (September 27)
- Fall Mum Order Pick Up (September 27)
Volunteer Opportunities: The PFO needs your help! Volunteer opportunities will be listed on our website and publicized via email. If you are interested in serving on the board or chairing an event, please complete and return this form .
Fundraising: The PFO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We rely on financial support from the community to fund activities and programs for Stillmeadow students. Information about fundraisers will be provided via student home folders and email. You may also refer to the fundraising section of our website f or information.
Direct Donations: You can have an immediate impact on our school by making a direct donation to the PFO. Direct donations are 100 percent tax deductible, and 100 percent of the amount donated supports our school. Click here to download our direct donation form.
